The St. Bernard Prayer Night

Unified, with voices as one.  St. Bernard Parish churches took back ground tonight!

We were expecting about 20 to 30 people, optimistically.  As we played lightly on stage the people entered…and they just kept coming in…and in and in.  There were probably 150 people in the prayer meeting and God moved.  There was even a point where we thought we were going to not allow people in but we squeezed them in too.

We lifted high the name of Christ through song and prayed prayers of intercession on behalf of the people in St. Bernard Parish and, if we believe that “the prayers of a righteous man can accomplish much,” then we have to believe that spiritual battles in the unseen world were won tonight!!

“Did you feel the darkness tremble when all the saints joined in one song?”

God, heal these people, break the bondage of addiction, pain, shame, guilt, oppression, and division and let your light shine in us so bright that the darkness would fear Your people.

All glory, honor, a power is God’s alone.

  1. Cool stuff. Community is second nature to that area. To see God use you to direct that “communal-instinct” toward the worship and praise of God is really inspiring. “For greater things have yet to come and greater things are still to be done in the PARISH.” Jesus truly is Lord of St. Bernard.

    Peace,
